For Teachers

Whether it's writing DBQs, starting an annotated bibliography, or finishing up a collaborative group project, make the most of your students' writing center experience by booking some of our classroom-based services! Our classroom services are for all classes (language, social science, STEM-based, etc.). Our tutors specialize in a variety of subjects and can assist wherever is needed.

TUTOR LOGS

After a student's appointment, their tutor will send you and the writer a tutor log detailing next steps for their writing project. If you haven't received one, email Ms. Cramarosso.

BOOK THE WRITING CENTER

Teachers can book sessions for their entire classes during 4th and 6th period only. Each student would receive an individual tutor to help look over their paper and advise. These visits are ideal for the peer revising and editing stages of a paper, allowing for more in depth and focused sessions.

This service is available during 4th and 6th period only. If you are interested in booking, please email Ms. Cramarosso at eacramarosso@cps.edu with the following information: 

  • Your class and its period

  • The assignment your students will be working on

  • Your preferred date(please give early notice!)

CLASSROOM VISITS

The classroom visits program allows teachers to request two to four writing tutors to visit and help in their classrooms. These visits are ideal for any in-class writing projects, and allow for you to get an extra set of trained eyes to help your students write.

This service is available during all lunch periods (3, 4, 5, and 6). If you are interested in booking, please email Ms. Cramarosso at eacramarosso@cps.edu with the following information: 

  • Your class and its period

  • The assignment your students will be working on 

  • The dates you are requesting a visit
